3 YEAR TAX FREEZE
While Commissioners Nick DeSilvio and Chris Konawel have been elected to the Commissioners Board, they passed a multi-year freeze on County spending.
The County Tax Rate has been frozen for 4 years! (1)
KEEPING OUR NEIGHBORHOODS SAFE
Sheriff Sammons , Commissioner DeSilvio, and Commissioner Konawel started the process of Regionalizing the Jail between Salem County, Cumberland County, and Gloucester County.
Regionalizing the Jail will save the residents of Gloucester County over $200 Million in tax dollars.
FIGHTING CORRUPTION
While being elected, our Sheriff and Commissioners have brought countless situations to light - which seemed to be brushed under the rug by the Democrats who control the county.
- K-9 Ember's wrongful death while in the care of the appointed County Fire Marshall. This is still under active investigation with the New Jersey District Attorney's Office. (2)
- Gloucester county OEM Deputy Director pulled a gun on a motorist who allegedly hit his car during a road rage incident. (3)
While these incidents were not resolved properly or have not yet been prosecuted, our Sheriff and Commissioners continue to work on getting answers for our citizens.

SETTLED CONTRACTS
Within the first 30 days of being in office, Sheriff Sammons worked to settlement a long-overdue contract for his Officers. Since then, he has gone on to settle 2 more contracts for his Sergeants and the Department of Corrections.
Sheriff Sammons wants to make sure that all Officers are being treated fairly and justly.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
One of Sheriff Sammons' goals has been to bridge the gap between the Community and Law Enforcement. Since being sworn in, Sheriff Sammons has created the Community Relations Unit, which attends events around Gloucester County,
COMMUNITY POLICING
Community Policing has been at the forefront of the revamping of the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Sammons has empowered his Officers to be a force multiplier in our municipalities. You will not just see Sheriff's Officers transporting inmates - they will be making traffic stops in our communities. As the Highest Office of Law Enforcement in the County, the Officers of the GCSO have gained the respect that they deserve.
OFFICE MORALE IS HIGHER THAN EVER
Morale in the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office has never been more positive. The Officers in the GCSO have a better quality of life due to the respect that command Staff and Sheriff Sammons give them.
